2012-02-Sargent Study

I did a study of Sargent yesterday. I found it's extremely fun to study old masters as I can observe and imagine how they paint. My main focus on this study is to explore smudge tool with texture brushes and study Sargent's value pattern. I just wish I did this kind of study long time ago.

Week 11 and 12 updates

Homework burns me from inside and the sun burns me from outside. I'm completed on fire i guess. Two more weeks to go and I want a happy ending.

I have 2 pieces got into the spring show and I received a email that told me my files are too big. It's really something I don't really bother now. I got tons of stuff to learn in summer, I can't wait!

Week 9 update

Wooohoo! Another week is gone. I struggled a lot for the past week. Too stressed to produce many pieces. Special thanks to my teacher Mr. David Colman for his great encouragement and critiques. I'm working on my story this coming week and I may ask some of my friends to give me comments for my little "epic story". Having fun view my work guys. Thanks for visiting.

Week 8 updates

Had a wonderful spring break.
However the week after is busiest week ever.
Homework+Wondercon+Z's face painting project made me really tired throughout this week.
Unfortunately week 9 is busier for sure.
But I gonna enjoy the "pain".

I had a great time at Wondercon this year with all of my friends and amazing artists. I've never being such motivated before. I hope such feeling last as long as possible.

Week 4 to Week 7 updates

Sorry for the late updates guys. I tend to fix some of my paintings after my teacher's critiques instead of upload immediately when i finish them. There is always something you can fix and put more into the painting. On the other hand I keep expose myself to new things as the semester progressing.
